The Safari never did get the chance to play a single game
in the IPFL since they were to begin play following a renovation of the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The renovations
were not finished by the time the IPFL folded. Fort
Wayne, IN would eventually see indoor football played in the Coliseum in 2003 as the Fort Wayne Freedom took the field in
the NIFL.
